GRANTING A VARIANCE IN THE USE OF
PROPERTY DESIGNATED AS 560 EL CAMINO
REAL, BURLINGAKE, TO PENINSULA JEWISH
COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, Peninsula Jewish Community Center applied to the
City Council for a variance in the use of the property commonly
designated as 560 E1 Camino Real, Burlingame, for the purpose of
carrying on its activities as a welfare agency; and
WHEREAS, the application was referred to the Planning
Commission of the City for a hearing and its consideration and
action upon said application; and
WhEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City after a
hearing on the application, on November 30, 1952, recommended to
the City Council that the application for a variance in use of
said property subject to the conditions and limitations hereinafte
set forth; and
WHEREAS the City Council having fixed December 15, as the
time and place for a public hearing on the application, and after
such hearing granted the variance;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that
the Peninsula Jewish Community Center be and it is hereby granted
a variance in the use of the property and premises commonly
designated as 560 E1 Camino Real, to be used as an administrative
agency for youth activities such to the following conditions;
1. The grant of variance be limited to the period of time
provided in the lease of the said property to the Peninsula Jewish
,ommunity Center;
2. That proper screening of the said premises be provided
Subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Parks.
That there shall be no signs erected on the property
facing the E1 Camino Real and
4. That there shall be no ingress or egress for vehicles
cn the E1 Camino Real.
