ACCEPTING THE BID OF 1,17kLOTT & PETERSON-GRUNDY
FOR THE RESURFACING OF TENNIS COURTS IN
WASHINGI'ON PARK
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the invitation of bi
Ito contractors for the resurfacing of tennis courts in Washington
1 Park and informed prospective bidders that the bids would be
(opened on April 20, 1953, at eight otclock, p.m.; and
WHEREAS, on April 20, 1953, five (5) bids were submitted
land after reading the said bids and referring the same to the
City Engineer for a report thereon; and
WFTRE11S, the City Enineer reported that the bid of the
I firm of I1,1alott & Peterson -Grundy for doing; the work pursuant to
(the plans and specifications, was the low bidder and recommended
Ithat it be awarded the contract;
R?OI{V, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED and ordered that the
bid of the firm of Malott & Peterson -Grundy to resurface the
tennis courts pursuant to the plans and specifications above
referred to be, and the same is hereby accepted for doing the
work for the sum of $6,366.00 and the said firm is hereby awarded
the contract to complete the said construction.
IT- IS �+URTHER RESOZVr,D, that the Mayor be and he is hereby
Idirected for and in behalf of the City Council to execute the
(contract with the said firm of Malott & Peterson -Grundy for the
Iresurfacing of tennis courts in Washington Park.

the foregoing resolution vas introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 20th day of April, 1953, and
