AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PAVING TO GEORGE R. DOUGLASS
AND A. REESE WOODHOUSE, A CO -PARTNERSHIP, DOING
BUSINESS AS DOUG LAS AND WOODHOUSE
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the invitation of
bids for a contract to resurface certain city streets referred to
in specifications for resurfacing city streets in MCS 51 - 58
inclusive; and
On May 4, 1953, the bids were opened before the City
Council and George R. Douglass and A. Reese Woodhouse, a partner-
ship doing business as Douglass and Woodhouse, had submitted the
lowest bid for doing the said work for the sum of $37,579.50;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered
that the bid of George R. Douglass and A. Reese Woodhouse, a
co -partnership, doing business as Douglass and Woodhouse, for
the sum of 037,579.50 be, and the same is hereby accepted;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder herein referred to, and the City
of Burlingame, for the performance of the work herein referred
to, and that the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized for and
in behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract.

I, Herbert R. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of May, 1953,
by the following vote:
