RESOLUTION NO. 30-53
CALLING FOR SEXED PROPOSALS
CHAPIN AVENUE IIPROVEIENT
PROJECT NO. 52-48
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, that
IMEREAS, the City Council of said City did, on the 4th
day of May, 453, adopt its resolution of preliminary approval
of the Engineer's report, wherein it did preliminarily approve
the plans and specifications for the construction of public
improvements In said City, all as more particularly described
and set forth in Resolution of Intention No. A-52 adopted by
said Council on November 17, 1952;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the City Clerk of said
City is hereby directed to public twice In the Burlingame Advance,
a newspaper of general circulation published and printed In said
City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construc-
tion of said Improvements, and referring to the plans and speci-
fications on file In the office of the City Clerk, the first
publication of which shall be at least ten days prior to the date
of opening bids.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a certified
check payable to the order of the City, amounting to ten per cent
of the bid, or by a bond in said awount and payable to said City,
signed by a corporate surety or by the bidder and two sureties
wino shall justify before any officer competent to administer an
oath, In double said amount, and over and above all statutory
exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited or said 0ond shall

same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the
Lontiact has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the
City.
Said sealed proposals or bids lhall be delivered to the
