DIRECTING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND
SPECIIFTCATIONS FOR MODERN LIGHTING ON
PORTIONS OF HOWARD AVENUE AND PRIMROSE
ROAD.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council a
request to provide an improvement by installing a new and more
ladequate street lighting system on Howard Avenue and Primrose Road
in the City of Burlingame;
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Burlin-
game, that it proposes to cause to be improved in said city, the
following streets or public ways, to wit:
Howard Avenue from West Lane to E1 Camino Real;
Primrose Road northerly from north line of Howard Avenue
for a distance of approximately 350 feet.
The said Improvement to consist of Installation of modern,
(round taper electroliers, with 20,000 lumen mercury vapor lamps
and all necessary appurtenances; Installation of necessary under-
ground conduit, cable, transformers and risers.
The said improvement to be installed on each side of the
streets above specified.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the City Engineer
of the City is hereby directed to prepare plans and specifications
for said proposed work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proceedings for such
Proposed work shall be taken in accordance with the provisions of
the "Improvement Act of 1911" under Resolution of Intention to be
hereafter adopted, provided that this Council obtains jurisdiction
to proceed with said work under the provisions of-t-he "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of
1931;" and

BE IT rURTHER RESOLVED that the said City Engineer be and
the is hereby directed to prepare the boundaries and the district
to be assessed for the said proposed work and improvement.
