DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF BUPLINGAME OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS "THE SCOFIELD PROPERTY" AND TIXING TIME
AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSON MAY
APPEAR AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY
SHOULD HOT BE ANNTI AED
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council
requesting the annexation to the City of Burlingame of certain
uninhabited territory, the boundaries of which are in said
petition and hereinafter described and which is designated as
the "Scofield Property," and which said territory is situate in
the County of San Mateo, State of California and is contiguous to
the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, the said petition was signed by the owners of
the land to be annexed and which said persons represent all of
the land according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll
of San Mateo County;
NOW, THEREFORE, Monday, the 16th day of November, 1953,
at the hour of eight o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers in
the City :,all, in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo,
State of California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when
and where all persons having any objections to the proposed
annexation may appear and show cause why such territory should not
be annexed.
Theterritory herein referred to consists of that real
property in the County of San Mateo, State of California,
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the northerly right-
of-way line of Hillside Drive, said point
being the most westerly corner of Lot No. 7,
Block No. 1, as shown on said Nap of Burlin-
game Hills No. 2; thence from said point of
beginning N 190 57' E 1L1.00 feet along the
westerly boundary of said Lot No. 7; thence
N 650 09' 50" W 119.63 feet, said course
being partially contiguous to the corporate
limit line of the City of Burlingame; thence
continuing along last said corporate limit
line of City of Burlingame the following
courses and distances: S 860 37t 30"
W 68.39 feet, S 180 041 E 79.00 feet and
$ 20 06t 07" W 80.87 feet to a point in
the abovementioned norther-ly line of
Hillside Drive; thence leaving last said
corporate limit line of City of Burlingame,
on a curve to the right in an easterly
direction along the abovementioned northerly
line of Hillside Drive, said curve having a
radius of 397.50 feet, a central angle of
150 511 20" and an arc length of 110.00 feet
to the point of beginning, and containing
0.479 acres of land, more or less. tieing
all of Lot 8, Block 1, Burlingame Bills Sub-
division No. 2, as recorded August 26, 1926,
in Volume 14, pages 18 and 19 of maps of
the County of San P4ateo records, State of
California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be
published in the Burlingame Advance -Stan„ a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Burlingame,
County of San Mateo, State of California and in the Redwood City
Tribute, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City of
Redwood City, County of San Hateo, State of California, once each
week for two successive weeks prior to said hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the petition for annexation
be and the same is hereby referred to the Planning Commission of
the City for immediate consideration and action and that its
report thereon be made available before the date of the hearing,
to -wit, November 16, 1953-

the City Council held the 26th day of October, 1953, and adopted
thereafter by the following vote:
