DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF
PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY, BEING A PART OI' THE MILLS
ESTATE AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE
FOR THE HEARING THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Atlantic Life Insurance Company, a Corporation, has
filed a petition with the City Council requesting the annexation
to the City of Burlingame of certain new uninhabited territory,
the boundaries of which are in said petition and hereinafter
described; and which territory is contiguous to the northern
corporate limits of the City and being a part of what is commonly
described "The Mills Estate", situated in the County of San Mateo,
State of California; and,
WHEREAS, prior to the filing of the petition for annexation,
the petitioner submitted to and obtained from the Boundary Com-
mission of San Mateo County, its approval of the description of
the property to be annexed, a copy of which approval is attached
to the petition, reference thereto is hereby had for further
particulars; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner claims to be the sole owner of all
of the land to be annexed;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that
Monday, the 25th day of January, 1954, at the hour of 8:00 otclock
P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, in the City of
Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California, is fixed as
the time and place for the hearing of the petition for annexation,
.,g,t which time any person interested may appear and be heard.

certain real property in the County of San Mateo, State of Calif-
ornia, and particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the northeasterly corporate
limits line of the City of Millbrae, said point of beginning
being located S 61000100" E 853.41 feet and N 53°11'36" E
521.70 feet from the intersection of the southwesterly line
of the Old Bayshore Highway, as conveyed by the Mills Estate
Incorporated to the State of California by deed recorded
August 8, 1925 in Book 177 of Official Records of San Mateo
County, California, at page 307, with the southeasterly line
of that certain parcel of land conveyed by the Mills Estate
Incorporated to the County of San Mateo by deed recorded
October 15, 1941, in Book 987 of Official Records of San
Mateo County, California, at page 166; thence from said
point of beginning and leaving said northeasterly corporate
limits line of the City of Millbrae, N 53011'36" E 1266,32
feet to the corner common to Sections 1, 21 11 & 12, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 5 West, Mt. Diablo Base and Meridian;
thence along the line dividing Sections 11 and 12, S 0002'
4o" E 1508.57 feet to the most southerly corner of Tidelands
Survey Number 12, which survey was made March 23, 1868, and
the same being shown in Book of Tidelands Surveys at page
169, Records of San Mateo County, California; thence con-

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that a copy of this resolution should
be published in the Burlingame Advance -Star, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Burlingame, County
of San Mateo, State of California, on the 26th day of December,
1953 and on the 2nd day of January, 1954, being once a week for
two successive weeks, and twenty days prior to the time for the
hearing of said petition.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that a copy of this resolution should
be published in the Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed and published in the County of San Mateo,
but not in the City of Burlingame, on the 26th day of December,
1953, and on the 2nd day of January, 1954, being once a week for
two successive weeks, and twenty days prior to the time for
hearing of said petition.
