DIRECTING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECI-
FICATIONS FOR THE ESTABLISHIVENT OF A
STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT ON PORTIONS OF
HO',YARD AVENUE, PRII',iROSE ROAD, LORTON AVENUE,
PARK ROAD AND HIGHLAND AVENUE
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Burlingame deemi g
it to be for the public interest and convenience of the City to
provide better lighting facilities on the streets hereinafter
name d;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HESOLVIM, and it is hereby ordered
that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Burlingame to establish an essessment district for the purpose
of improving the s treet lighting in the City of Burlingame on
the following streets or public ways, to -wit:
Howard Avenue - from 'Nest Lane to E1 Camino Real;
Primrose Road - northerly from the north line to Howard
Avenue for a distance of 350 feet;
Park iioad - from Burlingame Avenue south to the northerly
line of Howard Avenue;
Lorton Avenue - from Burlingame Avenue south to the north
line of Howard Avenue;
Highland Avenue - from Howard Avenue northerly to
California Drive.
The said improvement is to consist of the installation of
modern, round taper electroliers, with 20,000 lumen mercury
vapor lamps and all necessary appurtenances; the installation
of necessary underground conduit, cable, transformers and risers
The said improvement to be installed on each side of
the streets above specified.

Engineer of the City is hereby directed to prepare plans and
specifications for said proposed work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proceedings for such

proposed work shall be tallen in accordance with the provisions
Of the "Improvement Act of 1911" under Resolution of Intention
to be hereinafter adopted, Provided t;- at this Council obtains
jurisdiction to proceed with said xork under the provisions of
the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority
Protest Act of 1931;" and
BE IT FURT=4' RESOLVED that the said City Engineer
be and 1,.e is hereby directed to prepare the boundaries and the
district to be assessed for the said proposed work and improve-
ment.
