WHITE CITY CLERK NOTICE OF ELECTION Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California, on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 1954, for the following offices: Two (2) Councilmen for full term of four (4) years. The following measures shall be submitted to the voters of the City of Burlingame: 1. Shall the City of Burlingame incur a bonded indebtednes in the principal amount of $235,000.00 in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance calling the election at which this proposition is submitted, for the object and purpose of the acquisition, construction and completion of a swimming pool together with appurtenances and facilities for its proper maintenance and safe use and enjoyment upon real property owned by the City of Burlingame at Washington Park, 2. Shal_1 the City of Burlingame incur a bonded indebted- ness in the principal amount of $65,000.00 in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance calling the election at which this proposition is submitted, for the object and purpose of acquiring, constructing; and completing improvements to the facilities of the Fire Department of the City of Burlingame, in the following respects: the acquisition, construction and completion of a new fire station to house fire apparatus and dep#}rtment personnel to be located upon real property owned by the City of Burlingame easterly of the Southern Pacific Company right of way; the acquisition and purchase of fire apparatus; and the acquisition, construction and completion of an extension to the present fire alarm system of the City of Burlingame, 3. Shall the City of Burlingame incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of 041,000.00, in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance calling the election at which this proposition is submitted, for the object and purpose of the acquisition, construction and completion of an addition to the Police Station of the City of Burlingame together with appurten- ances and facilities for its proper maintenance and use. 4. Shall the City of Burlingame incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of 4220,000.00, in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance calling the election at which this proposition is submitted for the object and purpose of the acquisition, construction and completion of an addition to the City Hall of the City of Burlingame together with appurtenances and facilities for its proper maintenance and use. A. Shall the City Council of the City of Burlingame appoint a City Administrator. B,. Shall each member of the City Council of the City of Burlingame receive as compensation for his services as Council- man, the sum of �75.00 per month, save and except the Councilman selected to serve as Mayor, who shall receive as compensation for his services, the sum of $100.00 per month during the term of his mayoralty, such compensation to commence May 1, 1954. )2( There will be eighteen (18) purpose of holding said election, of the regular election precincts and Countty elections, as follows: voting precincts for the consisting of a consolidation established for holding State Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 1, 2 and 3, and the voting place thereof shall be at Mackenhaussen Garage, 201 Channing Road. Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 4, 5 and 6, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Washington School, Howard Avenue, between Anita Road and Arundel Road. Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 35, 46,47 ad53, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Recreation Center, 850 Burlingame Avenue, Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 20, 21 and 49, and the voting place thereof shall be at the High School, Carolan Avenue. Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 7, 8, 9 and 14, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Burlingame Women's Club, 217 Park Road, Consolidated Voting Precinct "F" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 10, 11, 12 and 13, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Pershing; School, Newlands Avenue. Consolidated Voting Precinct "G" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 15, 16 and 17, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Chambliss Sunporch, 518 A1mer Road. Consolidated Voting Precinct "H" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 18, 19 and 24, and the voting place thereof shall be at the McKinley School, El Camino Real and Fairf ield Road. Consolidated Voting Precinct "I" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 22, 23 and 50, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Crary Residence, 852 Edgehill Drive, Consolidated Voting Precinct "J" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 25, 26 and 27, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Park Store, 1320 Broadway. Consolidated Voting Precinct "K" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 32, 33 and 51, and the voting place thereof shall be at Wm. Finger's Office, 1207 Capuchino Avenue, Consolidated Voting Precinct "L" shall comprise State and Countty Precinct numbers 44, 45, 48 and 52 and the voting place thereof shall be at the Coolidge School, Paloma and Grove Avenues, Consolidated Voting Precinct "M" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 28, 29 and 30 and the voting place thereof shall be at the Roosevelt School, Vancouver Avenue and Broadway. Consolidated Voting Precinct 'IN" shall comprise State and County Precinct numbers 31, 34 and 54, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Burlingame Branch Library, 1800 Easton Drive. )3) Consolidated Voting Precinct 110" shall comprise State and County Precinct Numbers 36, 37, 38 and 42, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Miller Garage, 1305 Bernal Avenue. Consolidated Voting Precinct "P" shall comprise State and County Precinct Numbers 39, 40 and his and the voting place thereof shall be at the Branson Garage, 1401 Columbus Avenue, corner Hillside Drive. Consolidated Voting Precinct "q" shall comprise State and County Precinct Numbers 43, 57 and 59, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Jackson Residence, 1620 Hillside Drive. Consolidated Voting Precinct "R" shall comprise State and County Precinct Numbers 55, 56 and 58, and the voting place thereof shall be at the Lincoln School, 1801 Devereux Drive.
