AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PAVING TO THE
L. C. SMITH COMPANY, A CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the invitation of
bids for a contract to resurface certain city streets referred to
in specifications for resurfacing secondary streets, Job No. 54-5;
and
On April 19, 1954, the bids were opened before the City
Council and L. C. Smith Company, a corporation doing business at
225 Nineteenth Avenue, San Mateo, had submitted the lowest bid
for doing the said work for the sum of $8,239.25;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered
that the bid of L. C. Smith Company, a corporation, for the sum of
$8,239.25 be, and the same is hereby accepted;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder herein referred to, and the City of
Burlingame, for the performance of the work herein referred to,
and that the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized for and in behal
of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk, do hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 19th day of April, 1954,
by the following vote:
