OLD BUSINESS
4. A. Tennis Court Light Fees
Director Glomstad reported staff posted signage on the light coin box at the courts about the
possibility of raising the fees. Staff felt as it is winter and less people are using the courts that
the discussion at a meeting should be postponed until February or March when the weather is
nice and more people will be using the courts and will have read the notice. Commission agreed.
4. B. Bayside Parking Lot Update
Glomstad reported the city electrician has looked at the lights and the department has spoken to
Public Works. The lights are now working with the exception of two bulbs.
NEW BUSINESS
5. A. Field Rental Fees
Supervisor Barry referred to the staff report, stated the history and gave an update. Staff is
exploring options of changing to an hourly fee and have a non-resident fee. Areas discussed
were the affect of hourly fee on the groups, usage of fields by groups, costs per field (grass vs.
turf) and having different rates depending on the field used. Also discussed were 1) a goal
penalty fee for not putting away the goals; 2) a deposit at the beginning of each year and 3)
implementing the use of a scheduling system and splitting the annual maintenance fee among the
users.
Commission consensus was to keep the fee structure as simple as possible and it was suggested
that fees should cover costs.
