ORDERING DESTRUCTION OF NOXIOUS AND DANGEROUS WEEDS
AND RUBBISH A NUISANCE IN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME.
RESOLVED by the City Council of The City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the City Council of The City of Burlingame on
November 4, 1963, at a regular meeting of said Council, adopted a
resolution declaring certain weeds growing upon various streets,
squares, lanes, alleys, avenues, courts and places within said
municipality and upon private property within said municipality,
and which said weeds bear seeds of wingy or downy nature and with
such large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and are
otherwise obnoxious and dangerous, and all rubbish, refuse or
dirt on parkways, sidewalks or private property to constitute a
public nuisance; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution fixed Monday the 18th day of
November, 1963, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., of said day,
at the Council Chambers of the City Council of The City of Burl
located in the City Hall of said City, at the time and place when
objections to the proposed removal of such creeds shall be heard
and given due consideration; and
WHEREAS, it appears from the Affidavit of the Street Main-
tenance Foreman of said City that notice of said hearing has been
given for the time and in the manner and form provided by law; and
WHEREAS, it appearing that no objections to the proposed
removal of such weeds were presented;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Burlingame that the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Burlingame, be, and he is hereby directed to remove and
eradicate or cause to be removed and eradicated, such weeds as
described in the Resolution of Intention passed and adopted
herein on November 4, 1963.
And said Superintendent of Streets of said City of Burlingame
is hereby authorized and directed to fix the costs of such removal
and eradication of weeds, and in the event of any delinquency of
the payment of any of said costs, to report the same to the City
Clerk of The City of Burlingame so that said costs may be
collected in the manner provided by law.

(foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 18th day of November 1963, and adopted
thereafter by the following vote:
