RESOLUTION NO. 48 - 63
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR BAYSWATER AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS
JOB NO. 61-14 MCS-97
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore authorized the
invitation for bids for a contract for the removal of the center
line on Bayswater Avenue from Anita Road to Humboldt Road and
thereafter for the installEtion of pavement consisting of eight
inches of compacted sub -base and th.,:ee inches of plant -mixed
asphalt and for the resurfacing of the existing pavement on
Bayswater Avenue from California Drive to Humboldt Road by
Heater -Re -Mix metnod using twelve pounds of asphalt per square
foot of pavement; and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1963, all bids received were opened
before the City Engineer and the City Manager, and the Lowrie
Paving Company, Inc., a corporation, submitted the lowest
responsible bid for doing the said work for the sum of Fifty-seven
Thousand Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars and fifty cents ($57,614.50)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered
that the bid. of the Lowrie Paving Company, Inc., a corporation,
for the sum of Fifty-seven Thousand Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars
and fifty cents ($57,614.50) be, and the same is hereby, accepted;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the Ci
of Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that the
Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of the
City of Burlingame to execute said contract.
