A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING OF
ORDINANCE NO. 782 ADOPTING BY REFERENCE WESTERN
PLUMBING OFFICIALS UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1961 EDITION,
AND APPENDICES THERETO
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, California, that:
WHEREAS, the title of Ordinance No. 782 adopting by
reference the Western Plumbing Officials Uniform Plumbing Code,
1961 Edition, and its Appendices, has been read for first reading
this ,/'J"f, day of April, 1963; and
WHEREAS, a notice of time and place of public hearing
upon said ordinance, a copy of which, marked Exhibit A, is at-
tached hereto, incorporated herein and made a part of this
Resolution by reference; and
WHEREAS, said notice of time and place of public hear-
ing conforms in all respects to the provisions of §50022.3 of the
California Government Coae;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Monday, the 6th day of May, 1963, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Burlingame, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when
the Council will hold a public hearing upon the adoption of said
ordinance. '
2. That notice of said hearing shall be given by pub-
lication of a copy of the said Exhibit A once a week for two (2)
successive weeks in the Burlingame Advance -Star, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Burlingame.
3. That not less than three (3) copies of said
Western Plubing Officials Uniform Plumbing Code, 1961 Edition, and

its Appendices, all certified to be true copies by the City Clerk,
shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk at least 15 days
preceding said public hearing; and shall be kept there for public
inspection while said Ordinance No. 782 is in force, except as
otherwise provided by §50022.9 of the California Government Code.
4. That the Council finds that said Exhibit A con-
tains descriptions sufficient to give notice to interested
persons of the purposes of the said Ordinance and of the subject
matter thereof.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 782
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE WESTERN PLUMBING OFFICIALS
UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1961 EDITION, AND APPENDICES
THERETO
T`OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, the 6th day of May,
1963, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers
at the City Hall at 267 Park Road, Burlingame, California, a
hearing will be held on the proposed Ordinance No. 782 referred
to in the title to this notice, providing that the rules, regula-
tions and standards printed and published by the Western Plumbing
Officials Association under the title "Uniform Plumbing Code,
1961 Edition, and Appendices Thereto", be adopted as and for the
rules, regulations and standards within the City of Burlingame,
County of San Mateo, State of California, as to all matters there-�
in contained except as otherwise provided in said Ordinance No.
782, and that said Uniform Plumbing Code and its Appendices shall
become a part of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame.
Said Uniform Plumbing Code, 1961 Edition, provides rules,
regulations and standards for their administration, application
and enforcement, definitions, materials and alternates, drainage
systems, vents and venting, indirect and special wastes, traps
and interceptors, joints and connections, plumbing fixtures,
water distribution, building sewers and private systems, fuel gas
piping, water heaters and vents, and the appendices thereto pro-
vide rules for sizing water systems, combination waste and vent
systems, .minimum plumbing facilities, rainwater systems and
trailer park plumbing standards.
