HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 036-1963RESOLUTION NO. 36-63 REQUIRING THE CITY TREASURER TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF PAYROLL CLERK, PRESCRIBING HIS DUTIES AS SUCH PAYROLL CLERK, AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR SUCH DUTIES RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, that in addition to the duties prescribed by law and by ordinance, the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to perform the functions and fulfill the duties of Payroll Clerk. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that such function and duties shall include, but are not limited to, the verification of department payrolls; the preparation of pay checks or warrants; the computa- tion and maintenance of all necessary, convenient or proper fiscal records relating to Workman's Compensation Insurance, and the State Employees' Retirement System; deductions for federal with- holding tax, State Employees' Retirement System, and municipal employees group life and health insurance; the preparation of all payroll records required by the provisions of the United States Internal Revenue Code required to be prepared, maintained or de- livered by any employer, together with the preparation and filing of such reports as may now or hereafter be required by the provi- sions of said Internal Revenue Code; and the preparation and filing of such reports as may be now or hereafter be required by the provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California pertaining to workman's Compensation Insurance.
