SELECTING MAJOR CITY STREETS
IN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 2050 to 2055,
Chapter 2, Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code
provides that each city council shall select a system
of major city streets, on the basis of greatest general
city importance, subject to the approval of the State
Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, streets may be included in or excluded from
the city system of major city streets subject to the
approval in each case of the State Department of Public
Works; and,
(WHEREAS, it is desired to revise the existing system
to conform to present and anticipated traffic patterns)
THEREFORE, it is resolved by the city council of the
City of BURLINGAME
THAT the following named streets are selected as
major city streets to be included in the major city
street system:
NAME LIMITS
1. Bayswater Avenue From E1 Camino Realto Humboldt Road
2. Bayshore Highway " Extension of to Burlingame -
Broadway Millbrae City
Limits.
AND THAT the following named street is hereby select-
ed for exclusion from the city's system of major city
streets:
NAME LIMITS
1. Burlingame Ayanne From East Lane to Bayshore Blvd.
RESOLVED, further, that the State of California,
Department of Public Works, is hereby requested to approve
the above revision to the major city street system.
AND FURTHER that all prior resolutions, or portions
thereof, establishing major city streets in conflict with
this resolution are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 1963
