FIXING AND ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS,SSLARIES, AND RATES OF PAY OF EN,PLOYEES IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME The City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, does RESOLVE as follows: 1. the clasdfications of employees within the classified service of the City of Burlingame on the date of adoption of this Resolution, and their salaries, compensation or rates of pay, are hereby fixed and estab- lished as set forth in Schedule A attached to this Resolution, which schedule is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this Resolution by reference. 2. 3chedule A sets forth a new salary scale. In converting thereto from the salary scale set forth in Resolution No. 52-62 of the City of Burlingame, it is ordered that employees presently Paid under the old salary scale move to the step in the new scale which is the next highest in dollar amount above the step which they occupy under said Resolution No. 52-62. In the event that such adjustment amounts to less than a half step in the case of any employee, such employee shall move to the step in the new scale which is the second highest in dollar amount above the step which he occupies under said Resolution No. 52-62. The Park Superintendent, Streets and Sewers Supervisor, dater Service Supervisor, Recreation Director, Police Chief and Fire Chief shall be paid at the rate shown under Column D. 3. The Patrolman assigned to the duty of operating a motorcycle shall receive extra compensation of Thirty-five Dollars per month. 4. The Patrolman assigned to duty as Director of Traffic shall re- ceive extra compensation of Fifty Dollars per month. - 1 - t 5• The Patrolman assigned to duy as Inspector of Police, Detective, or Juvenile Officer shall receive extra compensation at the rate of Fity Dollars per month. 6. The Fireman assigned to duty as Equipment Mechanic's Helper shall receive extra compensation at the rate of Thirty-five Dollars per month. 7. The Fireman assigned to duty as Electrician's Helper shall receive extra compensation at the rate of Thirty-five Dollars per month. 8. The person designated to make a stenographic record of proceedings at the Council meetings shall receive such compensation as the City Council may from time to time provide by resolution. 9• The Park. Department job classification assigned to extra responsi- bility for supervisory duties of medium tree maintenance crew in addition to his regular duties shall receive extra compensation at the rate of Twenty-five Dollars per month. 10. The rates of pay set forth in the foregoing schedule represents the standard monthly rate of compensation in terms of dollars per month based upon full employment except for the City Attorney whose rate of com- pensation is based upon part time employment and who may be paid such additional compensation as the City Council may fix and determine.
