RESOLUTION NO. 60-62
RES OLUTI'N A';THORIZING AND DIRrCTING THE
ISSUANCE OF WARNING FOTICES BY CITY E"4PLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF BURLINGA'IF FOR SUSPECTED
VIOLATION OF REGULATIONS OF THE BAY AREA AIR
POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS the existence of air pollution in the City of
Burlingame, San 1ateo County, is a continuing menace to the health,
safety and welfare of its residents; and
WHEREAS many sources of air pollution are now subject
to the regulations of the Bay Area Air Pollution Control
District; and,
WHEREAS the effectiveness of these regulations is
limited by the number of persons who have the responsibility
to report violations; and
WHEREAS a suspected violation of these regulations may
be corrected voluntarily simply by bringing the suspected
violation to the attention of those responsible for it; and
WHEREAS the City of Burlingame employs many persons
who observe suspected violations of air pollution regulations
in the course of performing; their assigned duties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the Chief Building Inspector and Fire Inspector of the
City of Burlingame be, and they ire hereby, authorized and
directed to issue warning notices to persons who are respon-
sible for a suspected violation of the regulations of the Bay
Area Air Pollution Control District.
THAT, the above -named officials are further authorized and
directed to provide to the Bay Area Air Pollution Control.
District a copy of each such warning notice.

do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 17th day
of Septeriber, 1962, and adopted thereafter by the following; vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Crosby, Johnson, Lorenz, Martin, Morgan.
Noes: Councilmen: None
Absent Councilmen: None
