HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 047-1962�L Note:ilneffective - due to non -passage of RESOLUTION NO. 47-62 Ord. 762 and 763 APPROVING PROCEDURE FOR ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS WHEN PLANS SUBMITTED TO BUILDDING INSPECTOR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 6, 1962 WHEREAS, ORDINANCES Numbered 762 and 763 have been adopted by the Burlingame City Council and will become effective on September 6, 1962; and WHEREAS, said ordinances effect changes in exist- ing procedures for reclassification of land and for the is - nuance of permits and the grant of variances and also amend existing provisions of the Burlingame Ordinance Code regu- lating set -back lies, lot coverage, off-street parking spaces and related matters; and WHEREAS, plbt plans, preliminary plans and final and other plans will be submitted to the City of Burlingame during the period between the adoption and the effective date of said ordinances; and WHEREAS, unnecessary hardship, delay and expense may be caused in certain instances where planning for the use of property has been commended under existing regulations, If such planning is required to be revised to conform to the provisions of said ordinances; and WHEREAS, it appears that such hardship, delay and expense may be mitigated, in whole or in part, by effecting a gradual transition from the existing provisions of the Or- dinance Code to the provisions thereof as they are amended effective September 6, 1962, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED: 1. Plans filed with the Building Inspector prior to September 6, 1962, shall be checked and processed, and permits thereon shall be issued, provided that said plans conform in all respects to the presently existing require- ments of the Ordinance Code. 2. Completed plans and working drawings (excluding plot plans) filed with the Building Inspector prior to September 6, 1962, which, after checking, are found to require changes to conform to presently existing requirements of the Ordinance Code, may be amended to conform to such presently existing requirements and permits thereon shall then be issued before or after September 6, 1962, as the case may be. 3. Permits issued after the date of this resolu- tion for the construction of any structure in conformity with the provisions of presently existing requirements shall be invalid, void and of no effect unless work is commended within 90 days after the issuance of such permit. 4. No permit shall issue for the construction of any structure except in conformity with the requirements of Ordinances Numbered 762 and 763, if such plans are filed on or after September 69 1962. - 2 -
