HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 028-1962RESOLUTION NO. - 62 AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF FALLOUT SHELTER LICENSE PERMITTING USE OF BASEMENT, CORRIDORS AND OTHER COMMON AREAS OF THE BURLINGAME LIBRARY AS A FALLOUT SHELTER WHEREAS, the President of the United States has undertaken for the nation an accelerated and strengthened Civil Defense program, including a fallout shelter survey, marking and stocking program; and WHEREAS, the fallout shelter survey has indicated that the basement, corridors or other common areas of the Burlingame Public Library at 1269 Bellevue Avenue, Burlingame, California, will afford personal protection from the hazards of fallout in the event of enemy attack; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, that: 1. A fallout shelter license or privilege be granted to tt federal government, the State of California, and to the general public, for the use of the basement, corridors and other common areas of the Burlingame Public Library at 1269 Bellevue Avenue, Burlingame, California, in accordance with the Civil Defense shelt program. 2. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized on be- half of the City of Burlingame and its City Council to execute a written grant of such license or privilege. r 28 I, Herbert K.
