ACCEPTING BRANCH FIRE STATION, ROLLINS ROAD,
BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, and it does hereby FIND, ORDER and DETERMINE that:
1. JAMES A. MITCHELL, Architect, employed by the City Council
to prepare plans and specifications for the erection of a Branch
Fire Station on Rollins Road, Burlingame, California, and to
supervise its construction, having certified to the City Council
in writing that PEARCE, McALLISTER AND THORSALL, INC., a
corporation, has substantially completed the construction of said
Branch Fire Station in accordance with the terms of its contract
witn the City of Burlingame dated June 26, 1961, saving and
excepting only thirteen (13) minor items separately listed in
said written certification, which items are listed in Exhibit A
attached hereto, incorporated herein and made a part of this
resolution; and
2. Said James A. Mitchell, as such Architect, having filed with
the City Clerk his written recommendation that such Branch Fire
Station be accepted by the City Council, subject to completion of
said thirteen (lj) minor items; and
3. Said Branch Fire Station be, and the same is hereby,
accepted subject to satisfactory completion of said thirteen (13)
minor items.

I, Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the Ci
Council held on the 3rd day of January, 1962, and adopted there-
after by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Byrd -Johnson -Martin -Morgan
Noes: Councilmen: None
Absent Councilmen: Lorenz

EXHIBIT A
1. Brick faces, particularly on interior. Numerous small patches
of mortar remain on the face of bricks and should be cleaned off.
The pointing of several brick joints also needs attention.
2. Metal windows: Adjust for easier operation and replace
operators.
3. Grilles to be installed in doors to Locker Room.
4. Thresholds
at rear
entrances: awaiting
adjustment
to receive
bottom weather
strip.
Install weatherstrips
on front
entrance.
5• Heating: Complete installation of summer switches and make
final adjustments in operation of system.
6. Coat Rods still to be installed in closets.
7. Change Hardware on six doors in Apparatus Rooms to provide
latching operation in addition to locks.
8. Painter's touch-up required on several marred surfaces. Touch
up grille in Heater Room #2.
9• Overhead Sectional Doors: Adjust for easy operation,
especially door on rear. Adjust bottom astragals on rear for
close fit to floor.
10. Switch Covers: Complete pointing on masonry for swe plates
to cover.
11. Linoleum: At time of inspection, linoleum in Day Room
appeared to have not been cut to finish tightly at west wall and
threshold.
12. Sky Domes: Question was expressed about seating and flashing -
in of sky domes with roofing. Awaiting report after Contractor's
conference with Roofer.
13. Electrical "Mork: Miscel. electrial hook-ups and corrections
to be completed subject to satisfaction of Electrical Consulting
Engineer. Some of these have to await completion of Gamewell
Co's. work.
