HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 072-2019RESOLUTION NO. 72-2019 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING POSITION AMENDMENTS WHEREAS, under the City of Burlingame Civil Service Rules, adopted pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3.52.030, the City Council is the final authority for approving the classification and compensation plan; and WHEREAS, the proposed changes are as detailed below: • Reclassify one Grounds Equipment Repair Worker to an Automotive Mechanic in the Parks and Recreation Department; • Reclassify one Environmental Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to an Environmental Regulatory Compliance Manager in the Public Works Department; • Increase a 0.75 FTE Librarian II position in the Library Department to 1.0 FTE; • Decrease a 0.625 FTE Library Assistant II position in the Library Department to 0.5 FTE; and WHEREAS, the basis for the proposed changes is fully detailed in the staff report for this item on the June 17, 2019 City Council agenda; and WHEREAS, the proposed changes are contingent upon adoption of the Fiscal Year 2019- 20 Budget; and WHEREAS, the bargaining units representing the impacted classifications have reviewed the proposed changes and have not brought forth any objections or concerns. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Burlingame finds, orders, and declares that: 1. The Council approves the reclassification of one Grounds Equipment Repair Worker to an Automotive Mechanic in the Parks and Recreation Department; and 2. The Council approves the reclassification of one Environmental Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to an Environmental Regulatory Compliance Manager in the Public Works Department; and 3. The Council approves the increase of a 0.75 FTE Librarian II position in the Library Department to 1.0 FTE; and 4.
