RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION,
CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS AND SPECIAL PERMIT
RES08-99
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, a Categorical Exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a
conditional use Hermits and sia1 permit for for construction of a new two-car gage at 116
Bloomfield Road, zoned R-1, Robert Kotmel and Maia Nelson, p1Qpcily owners, APN: 029-273-210;
WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on
Jay 11, 1999 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials
and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that:
1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments
received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the
project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and Categorical Exemption, per
CEQA Article 19, Section 15303, new construction or conversion of small structures, Class 3 (e),
Accessory (appurtenant) structures including garages, carports, patios, swimming pools and fences is
hereby approved.
2. Said conditional use permits and special permit are approved, subject to the conditions set
forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such conditional use permits and special permit are as
set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records
of the County of San Mateo.

Conditions of approval Categorical Exemption, conditional use permits and special permit

effective January 20, 1999
1. that the project shall be built as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department
and date stamped December 2, 1998, Sheets A-1 and A-2, Site Plan, Floor Plan and
Elevations;
2. that the conditions of the City Engineer's and the Chief Building Official's November 16,
1998 memos shall be met;
3. that water and waste lines to the garage shall be limited to 2" maximum diameter;
4. that the accessory structure shall never be used for accessory living or sleeping purposes;
shall never include a kitchen, and shall not include a toilet or shower without an amendment _
to this conditional use permit; and

5. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the California Building and Uniform Fire
Codes, 1995 Edition, as amended by the City of Burlingame.
