RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION and SIGN EXCEPTION
RESO-19-99
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS , a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made
for a sign exception for height, number and area of signs on the primary frontage and for
hejght and area of signs on the secondary frontage for new signage at 600 Airport Boulevard.

WHEREAS , said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of
Burlingame on February 8, 1999, at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and
all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning
Commission that:
1 . On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and
comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no
substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the
environment, and Categorical Exemption per Article 19 Section: 15311 - Accessory
Structures, Class 11 , construction or placement of minor structures accessory (appurtenant to)
existing commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities, including but not limited to (a) on-
premise signs is hereby approved.
2. Said sign exception is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto. Findings for such sign exception is as set forth in the minutes and
recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution b ecorded in the
official records of the County of San Mateo. - ///" o

Conditions of approval categorical exemption and sign exception
600 AIRPORT BOULEVARD
effective FEBRUARY 17, 1999
1. that the signs shall be installed as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning
Department and date stamped January 21, 1999, 11" x 17" sheets 9000801, 9001601,
SHR30401, Site Plan and sheet A4.2, and date stamped January 22, 1999, sheet A4.1;
2. that any increase in the height, number or area of the signs on the primary or secondary
frontages shall require an amendment to this sign exception; and
3. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the municipal code and of the 1995
edition California Building and Fire Codes as amended by the City of Burlingame.
