Date: 403.24.A9 Margav& Monroe, C ty P1 er y RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION AND SPECIAL PERMIT FOR ACCESSORY STRUCTURE RESO-27-99 RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a dial permit for accessory structure for an addition to an existing_QaraQe at 1336 Balboa Avenue, zoned R-1. _o Qph La Mariana and Theresa Baldocchi, propeA owners, APN: 026-021-180; WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on March 8, 1999 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and categorical exemption, per CEQA Article 19, Section 15303, new construction or conversion of small structures Class 3 (e), accessory (appurtenant) structures including garages, carports, patios, swimming pools and fences is hereby approved. 2. Said special permit for accessory structure is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such special permit for accessory structure are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. 3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. RMAN I, Dave Luzuriaga , Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the -&L day of March , 1999 , by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS: BOJUES, COFFEY, KEIGHRAN, KEY, LUZURIAGA, VISTICA AND DEAL NOES: COMMISSIONERS: NONE ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: NONE SECRE RY EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval categorical exemption and special permit for accessory structure 1336 Balboa Avenue effective March 15, 1999 1. that the project shall be built as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped January 19, 1999, Sheet A-0 and Sheet A-la, Site Plan and Floor Plan, except the garage elevations shall be as shown on the plans date stamped March 3, 1999; 2. that the materials of the garage addition shall match those in the existing garage; 3. that the conditions of the Chief Building Official's January 25, 1999 memo and the City. Engineer's January 25, 1999 memo shall be met; 4. that the accessory structure shall never be used for accessory living or sleeping purposes; shall never include a kitchen, and shall include only electrical service, and no additional utility services and/or a toilet shall be added without an amendment to this special permit; and 5. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the California Building and Uniform Fire Codes, 1995 Edition, as amended by the City of Burlingame. - 2 ROUTING FORM DATE: January 19, 1999 TO: CITY ENGINEER .CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL FIRE MARSHAL SR LANDSCAPE INSPECTOR CITY ATTORNEY FROM: CITY PLANNER/PLANNER SUBJECT: Request for special permit to lengthen an existing garage which is located forward of the rear 30% of the lot at 1336 Balboa Avenue, zoned R-1.
