Date: 09.09.99 Margailet Monroe, City Planner RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION AND SIGN EXCEPTION RESO-100-99 RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a sign exception for for two new secondary frontage signs located above the fourth floor at 765 Airport Boulevard, zoned C-4, 765 Airport Boulevard Partnership, 851 Traeger Avenue #380, San Bruno, CA 94066, APN: 026-344-120; WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on August 23, 1999 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and categorical exemption, per CEQA Article 19, Section 15311, accessory structures, Class 11, construction or placement of minor structures accessory (appurtenant to) existing commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities, including but not limited to (a) on-premise signs is hereby approved. 2. Said sign exception is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such sign exception are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. 3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. CHAIRMAN I, Stm Vistica , Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 23rd day of August , 1999 , by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS: BDJUES, DEAL, DREILING, KEIGHRAN, VISTICA AND COFFEY NOES: COMMISSIONERS: NONE ' ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: LUZURIAGA � SECRE EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval categorical exemption and sign exception 765 Airport Boulevard effective September 8, 1999 1. that the wall signs (Signs A, B & C) and the ground sign (Sign D) shall be installed as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped July 29, 1999, (site plan, building elevations, & sign elevations), and date stamped August 13, 1999, monument sign elevation; 2. that the maximum height of the Sign A shall be 56'-0" and the maximum height of Sign B shall be 61'-0"; 3. that the copy of Signs A &B shall read "Hilton," and the maximum height of the uppercase "H" shall be 3'-0" and the lowercase "1" shall be 3'-3 3/4", and the maximum height of the remaining lowercase letters shall be no greater than 3'-0"; and 4. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the municipal code and of the California Building and Fire Codes, 1998 edition, as amended by the City of Burlingame. 2 1111II 0999 9-1©.4A 726 II R1 Page 3 of 3
