RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION
AND AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
RESOLUTION-144-2000
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for an
amendment to conditional use permit fora reconfiguration of and change in operaion for a car rental
facility at 20
1815 Bayshore Highway , zoned O-M, Lorraine Arnaudo, 193 S Tracy Blvd, Tracy_,
95376, 12roperty owner, APN. 024-401-500;
WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on
My22, 2000 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials
and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that:
1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments
received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the
project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and categorical exemption, per
CEQA Article 19, Section 15301 - Existing facilities, Class 1(a), interior or exterior alterations involving
such things as interior partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveyances is hereby approved.
2. Said amendment to conditional use permit is approved, subject to the conditions set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such amendment to conditional use permit are as set forth in
the minutes and recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution a recorded in the offic' records
of the County of San Mateo.

Conditions of approval categorical exemption and amendment to conditional use permit
1815 Bayshore Highway
effective June 5,2000
1815 Bayshore Highway(Lot 3,Block 2,East Millsdale Industrial Park No. 1,RSM 50/24&25
and Adjacent Portion of Bayshore Highway Abandoned;APN 024-401-500)
1. that the rental car facility use on this property shall remain in effect only as long as the
rental car facility uses at 840 Cowan Road is also in operation;if any portion of the rental
car use on either of these parcels is discontinued, then the conditional use permit for the
entire operation shall be revoked;
2. that this conditional use permit shall be reviewed by the Planning Commission in January,
2005;
3. that the rental car facility shall operate as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning
Department and date stamped April 17,2000,Sheet SD1, Site and Floor Plan;
4. that the uses on this site shall consist of car rental, administrative offices,a repair garage
for the car rental facility, employee and customer parking and rental fleet vehicle storage
as designated on the site plan for 1815 Bayshore Highway, Sheet SDI,date stamped April
17,2000;
5. that the maintenance facility shall be limited to light service and maintenance to the rental
fleet and preparation of new vehicles;
6. that there shall not be less than 10%landscaping of this property as shown on the site plan,
Sheet SDI date stamped April 17,2000;
7. that the conditions of the City Engineer's February 22,2000 and May 1,2000 memos shall
be met;and
8. that the use and any improvements for the use shall meet all the requirements of the
Uniform Building and Uniform Fire Codes, 1998 Edition, as amended by the City of
Burlingame.
