Date: 01.05.00 Margar t Monroe, City Planner RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION and SIGN EXCEPTION RESOLUTION No. 06-2000 RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a sign exception for height and area of signs on two secondary frontages at 577 Airport Boulevard zoned C-4. APN: 026-363-480; Bayside Corporate Center. Droperty owner: WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on December 13. 1999, at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and Categorical Exemption per Article 19 Section: 15311 - Accessory Structures, Class 11, construction or placement of minor structures accessory (appurtenant to) existing commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities, including but not limited to (a) on-premise signs is hereby approved. 2. Said sign exception is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such sign exception is as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. 3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this solution e r rded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. CH I I, Ann Keighran, Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 13th day of December, 1999, by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS: BOJUES, DEAL, DREILING, KEIGHRAN, VISTICA AND LUZURIAGa NOES: COMMISSIONERS: NONE ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: NONE SECRETARY IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII R1 Page:02fl7/2000 03:16P of 3 EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval categorical exemption and sign exception 577 AIRPORT BOULEVARD effective January 3, 1999 1. that the wall signs (Signs A and B) shall be installed as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped December 3, 1999, site plan, sign elevations, building elevations and cross section (11" x 17" sheets); 2. that the maximum height of the proposed wall signs (Signs A and B) shall be installed no higher than 97-0" measured from ground to top of sign; 3. that the copy of the signs shall read"Crossworlds,"that the maximum height of the logo shall be T-83/8" (10.6 SF), and that the maximum height of the letters shall be no greater than 2'-6"; and 4. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the municipal code and of the 1998 edition California Building and Fire Codes as amended by the City of Burlingame.
