A RESOLUTION APPROVING CANCELLATION OF ASSESSMENT
RECLAMATION DISTRICT NO. 2097
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, that
WHEREAS, the land owners of Reclamation District No. 2097, exer-
cising the rights, immunities, privileges and duties of a board of
trustees of said District, have requested cancellation of a portion of
assessments levied against the land within said District;
WHEREAS, the land owners have determined that it is unnecessary
to collect all of the assessments levied and that said assessment is
greater than required to meet all obligations incurred or to be in-
curred for the purposes for which the assessment was levied;
WHEREAS, an affidavit and waiver of rights of notice and hearing
pursuant to Sections 51802, 51803 and 51804, has been filed with the
City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED and ORDERED, that the
request to cancel that portion of the assessment levied in an amount
in excess of $2,000,000.00, is hereby approved.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the City Treasurer shall attach a
certified copy of this resolution to the assessment roll on file in
said Treasurer's office, and that the City Clerk shall endorce upon
the assessment roll after each parcel assessed the amount of the
assessment so cancelled.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, at a meeting
thereof held on the 24th day of _ September
1964 , by the following vote:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Crosby-Diederichsen-George-Johnson.
NOES, Councilmen: Martin.
ABSENT, Councilmen: None
