AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CALIFORNIA DRIVE WIDENING
OAK GROVE AVENUE TO NORTH LANE JOB NO. 63-24

WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the invitation of bids
for a contract for the widening of California Drive from Oak
Grove Avenue to North Lane; and
WHEREAS, on July 6, 1964 all bids received were opened before
the City Manager, the City Clerk, and the Director of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, L. C. SMITH COMPANY, a corporation, submitted the
lowest responsible bid for doing the said work for the sum of
Thirty-five Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-five Dollars and Seventy
Cents ($35,685.70);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and it is hereby ordered:
That the bid of L. C. SMITH COMPANY, a corporation, for the
of $35,685.70 be, and the same is hereby, accepted;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into by
the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of
Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of the
City of Burlingame to execute said contract.
