TRANSMITTING TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC WORKS A STREET DEFICIENCY COMPILATION.
1 WHEREAS Section 2166 as amended by Chapter 1441, Statutes
2 of 1963, requires each City and County to transmit to the
3 Department of Public Works on or before May 1, 1964 and each four
4 years thereafter, a report setting forth in such detail as the
5 State Department shall require the following:

1. The progress which it has made in the construction or
7
improvement of its road or street system.

2. An estimate of its road or street needs for the next
9
10 five years.
11 3. A projected estimate of its road or street needs for
12 the next ten years, and
13 WHEREAS the Division of Highways, Department of Public
14
Works, State of California, has been delegated the responsibility
15
for collecting the reports from the individual municipalities by
16
April 15, 1964, and
17
18 WHEREAS the Division of Highways requests that the
19 legislative branch of each individual agency be aware of the
20 nature, intent and extent of the report submitted by such
21 individual agency, and
22 WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Burlingame has
23
been presented the City Engineer's City Street Deficiency Report
24
prepared subject to the provisions of Section 2156,
25
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of
26
27 the City of Burlingame, having examined, and being in general
28 agreement with the contents of the City Street Deficiency Study,
29 as submitted by the City Engineer, does endorse said report, and
30 authorize its submission to the Division of Highways, State of
31 California, and to the State Legislature.

FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works
hereby is instructed to mail two copies of this resolution to the
(Division of Highways, Department of Public Works, State of
(California, and to the other public agencies requesting copies
[thereof.
