At the Council meeting of April 20, 1964, the
undersigned was authorized to accept the offer of the owners
of the above -designated parcel for the sum of $60,000, which
has been done.
Through an inadvertence, we neglected to inform
you of an outstanding leasehold interest of the tenant,
Virgil E. Orcutt, Jr., on a portion of the parcel, which
ran to October 25, 1966. The negotiator settled the
tenant's interest for the sum of $1,600. Mr. Orcutt has
deposited a quit claim deed in escrow with instructions that
the City can record the deed upon payment to him of the
sum of $1,600.
Authority is, therefore, requested to settle the
tenant's interest in that sum. A resolution to that end
is enclosed.
Thank you for your courtesy in this matter.
