DECLARING RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION 1964

WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in The City of I

2 Burlingame on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1964, and
3 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
4 given as required by law; that voting precincts were duly
5 established; that election officers were appointed and voting
6 supplies furnished, and in every respect and manner the said
7 election was held and conducted, and the votes cast were received
8
within the time, and manner prescribed by the law of the State of
9
California controlling elections in cities of the sixth class; and
10
11 WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame duly
12 convened at the usual place on Tuesday the 21st day of April, 1964
13 to canvass the returns of said election and install the newly
14 elected officers, and as a result of such canvass, the said City
15 Council finds that the number of votes cast, the persons for whom
16
such vote was cast, and all other matters required by law, are as

hereinafter stated:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said election held in'
19
20 The City of Burlingame on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1964, wash
21 conducted in the time, manner and form required by the law of the
22 State of California governing elections in cities of the sixth class;
23 That there were seventeen (17) voting precincts established
24 for the purpose of holding said election, said precincts being a
25
consolidation of the regular election precincts established for
26
holding State and County elections and were consolidated as follows:

Voting Precinct "A" comprised of State and County Precincts

30 Voting Precinct "B" comprised of State and County Precincts
31 Numbers 3, 6 and 32.

Edward D. George and Charlotte Johnson were elected Councilmen, and

resolution was introduced at a meeting of the Burlingame City
Council, April 21, 1964, held to canvass the election returns,
and adopted by the following vote:

MUNICIPAL ELECTION 11ITHIN SAID CITY ON APRIL 14, 1964
In accordance with Resolution No. 29-64 of the City Council of
the City of Burlingame, adopted on the 3rd day of February, 1964, I here-
by certify that upon the closing of the polls at the general municipal
election held on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1964, within the City of
Burlingame for the purpose of electing 3 members of the City Council, City ='
Clerk and City Treasurer of said City of Burlingame, I took off and recorded
from the voting machines used at said general municipal election the records
of votes cast at said polling places for the various candidates for the
office of member of the City Council, City Clerk and City Treasurer of said
City, and I filed with the City Council of said City said record thereof
prior to the time when said City Council was required to canvass the returns of
said general municipal election.
I further certify that said record of votes cast at said polling
places for the various candidates for the office of member of the City
Council, City Clerk and City Treasurer of said City is set forth in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as though fully
set forth at length.

we the undersigned do certify that the voting machines, machine

have been in every way properly prepared for the General Municipal
Election being held on April 14, 1964,
and each machine has been locked against voting and sealed.
We hereby deliver the keys for each voting machine.
We certify under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true
and correct.
