HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 110-1965JEL:vb 554 RESOLUTION NO. 110-65 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION AND TAKING OF CERTAIN LAND AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS. RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, California, that: WHEREAS, it is the intention of this City of acquire the land more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, for off-street parking purposes; follows : NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED and ORDERED, as 1. That the public interest and necessity require the acquisition, construction and completion of off-street motor vehicle parking in and on the land more particularly described in said Exhibit "A", and that the taking of the fee simple title in and to said land is necessary therefor. 2. That the proposed improvement is planned and located in the manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least private injury. 3. That Burress,Karmel, City Attorney, and the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch, San Mateo, California, employed for that purpose, be, and they are, hereby directed to institute and conduct to conclusion an action in eminent domain for the acquisition of said land and the taking of such action as is necessary therein. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, at a meeting there- of, held on the 4th day of October , 1965, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Crosby-Diederichsen-George-Johnson-Martin. NOES, Councilmen: None ABSENT, Councilmen: None APPROVED: _ City Clerk of the City of i Burlingame Mayor EXHIBIT A Lot 28, Block 16, as said lot and block are shown on that certain map entitled, "MAP OF BURLINGAME GROVE, SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (being part of Buri Buri rancho)", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California on July 16, 1906 in Book "B" of original maps at page 30 and a copy entered in Book 4 of maps at page 46. Lot 2, Block 16, as said lot and block are shown on that certain map entitled, "MAP OF' BURLINGAME GROVE, SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (being part of Buri Buri Rancho)", which map was filed in the office of the recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California on July 16, 1906 in Book "B" of original maps at page 30 and a copy entered in Book 4 of maps at page 46.
