Date: 8.31.94 �i ryL� Margar t Monroe, City Planner RESOLUTION NO. 30-94 RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION AND SPECIAL PERMIT RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a negative declaration and categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a Master Sian Program and Four (4) Sign Exceptions for sign area and number for two secondary frontages (Trousdale and Murchison Drive) at 1801 to 1887 E1 Camino Real, Burlingame Plaza zoned C-1; APN 025-122-010/020/030/040/050/080/120/130; property owners: David Pedersen, 2105 Summit Drive; Patricia a. Britton, 1811 El Camino Real • Frank Venturelli, 1533 Plaza Lane; Paul McGoldrick, 1871 E1 Camino Real, : Alan Sakamoto, 1887 E1 Camino Real; Steve J. Musich, P. O. Box 1624, San Mateo and Robert Lom, 613 Augusta Drive, Moraga ; and WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on July 25, 1994 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and categorical exemption Section 15301 - Existing Facilities Class 1(g) , New copy on existing on and off-premise signs and 15311 - Accessory Structures Class 11(a), (b), (c) consists of construction, or placement of minor structures accessory to existing commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities, including but not limited to: (a) On premise signs is hereby approved. 2. Said Master Sign Program and Four Sign Exceptions are approved subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such Master Sign Program and Four Sign Exceptions are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. 3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. / C I I, Mike Ellis , Secretary of the Planning Commission of the C'ty of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 25th day of July , 1994 , by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS: DEAL, ELLIS, KEY, KELLY, MINK AND GALLIGAN NOES: COMMISSIONERS: JACOBS ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: NONE SECRETARY EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval categorical exemption and special permit 1801-1887 EL CAMINO REAL effective AUGUST 15, 1994 1. that the project shall be built as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped June 23 , 1994 8'k" X 11" Site Plan and 1111 X 17" Sections and Elevations with a maximum flag size of 4 ' in the vertical dimension and 5 ' in the horizontal dimension (maximum 20 SF) ; and 2 . that the conditions of the city Engineer's June 24, 1994 memo (the City reserves the right to change the sign locations if the signs will block the traffic right of way) and the Chief Building Inspector' s June 23, 1994 memo (foundation and seismic/wind details will be required for a building permit) shall be met; and 3 . that the project shall meet all Uniform Building and Uniform Fire Code requirements as amended by the City.
