RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION,
SPECIAL PERMIT AND PARKING VARIANCE
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a
dial permit and parking variance for automobile storage and retail sales at 1327 Marsten Road,
APN: 026-133-020; property owner: John Michael, 19672 Stevens Creek Blvd.. #293. Cupertino ;
and
WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on
November 14. 1994 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written
materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW,THEREFORE,it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that:
1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed,and comments
received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that
the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment,and categorical exemption
Section: 15303 - Conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor
modifications are made in the exterior of the structure(c)... small commercial structures not involving
the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances is hereby approved.
2. Said special permit and parking variance is approved subject to the conditions set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such (variance and Special Permit are as set forth in the
minutes and recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official
records of the County of San Mateo.

certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission held on the 14th day of November, 1994 , by the following vote:

Conditions of approval categorical exemption, special permit and parking variance
1327 MARSTEN ROAD
effective NOVEMBER 21, 1994
1. that the area used for automobile sale and storage (1828 SF) shall be as shown on the
plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped September 23, 1994;
2. that the business shall operate by appointment only, with one employee and no more than
six visitors to the site in any one day;
3. that prior to occupying this site, the applicant shall provide documentation to the
Planning Department showing the requirements the Chief Building Inspector's (9/21/94)
and fire Marshal's (9/26/94) memos have been met; and
4. that the project shall meet al the requirements of the Uniform Building and Uniform fire
codes as amended by the City of Burlingame.
