RESOLUTION NO. 23-95
RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION
AND SPECIAL PERMIT
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a
special permit for an existing Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) at 1477 Chapin Avenue, APN: 029-
122-010/020 ; property owner: Weiman Syndicate, 1701 Marina Blvd., San Leandro, CA ; and
WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on
September 26, 1995 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written
materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that:
1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments
received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that
the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and categorical exemption
per Section: 15301 -Existing Facilities, Class 1(a) , Interior or exterior alterations involving such things
as interior partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveniences is hereby approved.
2. Said special permit is approved subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto. Findings for such Special Permit are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official
records of the County of San Mateo.

certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission held on the 26th day of September , 1995 , by the following vote:

Conditions of approval categorical exemption and special permit
1477 CHAPIN AVENUE
effective OCTOBER 2, 1995
1. that the ATM project shall be installed as shown on the plans submitted to the
Planning Department date stamped August 10, 1995, Grocery Store Floor Plan (11"
X 17"), Grocery Store Plot Plan (11" X 17"), Front Elevation of ATM (81/2"X 11"),
Left and Right Elevation of ATM (81/2"X 11"). and Plan view of ATM (81/2"X 11");
2. that the requirements of the Chief Building Inspector's memo dated August 21, 1995
(provide disabled access and use of the ATM) shall be met;
3. that the ATM shall be available during the days and hours the grocery store is open
and shall be located inside the store at the front entrance;
4. that any exterior signs for the ATM shall require separate application for a sign
permit and possible sign exception; and
5. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the Uniform Building and Uniform
Fire Codes as amended by the City of Burlingame.
