A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR A
STORM DRAIN FACILITY AT 2300 ADELINE DRIVE
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame's Neighborhood Storm Drain Project No. 10 included
the abandonment of an existing storm drain facility that failed and was not accessible for the City
to improve and upgrade; and
WHEREAS, a new storm drain facility was constructed parallel to the abandoned storm
drain facility and constructed within the Sisters of Mercy property at 2300 Adeline Drive to replace
the old facility; and
WHEREAS, the Sisters of Mercy agreed to the location of the new storm drain facility
within their property; and
WHEREAS, the new storm drain facility is mutually beneficial to the City and the Sisters
of Mercy property, since the improvements capture excessive storm runoff from the property, and
the new location provides the City with adequate access for maintenance of the storm drain; and
WHEREAS, an agreement for the storm drain easement was developed to establish the
grant of easement, use, restrictions, maintenance, and location of the storm drain facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, and ORDERED BY THE COUNCIL, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached agreement for the storm drain
easement for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame.
2. The City Clerk is instructed to attest such signature.
