RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AMENDING FEE TO BE CHARGED FOR ANNUAL ALARM PERMITS PENDING
REPROGRAMMING OF INVOICING SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a $50 annual alarm permit as part of the master
fee schedule in March 2003; and
WHEREAS, the charge for a third false alarm is set at $50 as well; and
WHEREAS, it has been discovered that the current City invoicing software program will
not recognize the distinction between the annual alarm permit and the false alarm charge; and
WHEREAS, rather than investing in reprogramming the software, the annual charge can
be lowered by 50 cents, with a loss of roughly $750 in revenue, but saving reprogramming costs
that would far exceed that loss in revenue,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The Master Fee Schedule for Police is amended to lower the annual alarm permit fee
from $50.00 to $49.50.
