REQUESTING THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS, UNITED STATES
ARMY, TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER OF
THE LOCATION AND THE PROPOSED EXPANSION OF THE
METROPOLITAN OAKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame, is a municipality border -
ling upon the waters of San Francisco Bay; and
WHEREAS, by virture of its contiguity to said Bay it has
Ian interest in all matters pertaining to the use of said waters;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that there exists a conflict between
Ithe City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, and the Port of
Oakland, relative to the location and the proposed expansion of
the Metropolitan Oakland International Airport;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Burlingame, that the City Clerk of said City, be, and he
is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Corps of Engin-
eers, United States Army, Office of the District Engineer, San
Francisco District, a request that the Corps of Engineers hold a
public hearing in the matter, in order that all interested parties
may be heard and in order that the conflict be resolved after all
interested parties have been afforded an opportunity to present
for consideration such matters as they may deem to be pertinent
and relative.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk, do hereby certify that
the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 20th day of September, 1954, and adopted
thereafter at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of October,
1954, by the following vote:
