HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 054-1966JEL.mw RESOLUTION NO. 54-66 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN LAND AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, that WHEREAS, it is the intention of this City to acquire the land more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, for the purpose of a City Hall site, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED and ORDERED as follows: 1. That the public interest and necessity require the acquisition, construction and completion of public buildings and grounds in and on the land more particularly described in said Ex- hibit "A", and that the taking of the fee simple title in and to said land is necessary therefor. 2. That the proposed improvement is planned and located in the manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least private injury. 3. That Burress Karmel, City Attorney, and the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch, employed for that purpose, be, and they are, hereby directed to institute and conduct to conclusion an action in eminent domain for the acquisition of said land and the taking of such action as is necessary therein, and said law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch shall be paid a reasonable fee therefor. i I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, at a meeting thereof, held on the l5th day of August, 1966, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Crosby-Diederichsen-George-Johnson-Martin.
