SUPPORTING THE UNITED BAY AREA CRUSADE
WHEREAS, the United Bay Area Crusade has begun its 1969
campaign for funds, and
WHEREAS, the Crusade will, if successfully conducted, pro-
vide financing for a large number of community organizations
having extremely desirable objectives; and
WHEREAS, these objectives include such commendable purposes
as the prevention of illness, indigency and delinquency, and
aid to the sick and needy; and
WHEREAS, employees of the City of Burlingame have been
requested to participate actively in the 1969 campaign of the
United Bay Area Crusade and contribute to the funds which the
Crusade uses to financially support community organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Burlingame heartily
endorses the work of the United Bay Area Crusade;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND DETERMINED as
follows:
1. All city department heads are urged to cooperate by
working actively in support of the United Bay Area Crusade and
2. All city employees are urged to contribute withind
their means to the Crusade campaign.
