COMMENDING THE CITY OF SAN MATEO AND THE
TOWN OF WOODSIDE FOR ADOPTING COMPANIES
OF THE FIRST BATTALION, 327TH INFANTRY,
FIRST BRIGADE, 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION,
UNITED STATES ARMY
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1968, the City of San Mateo did
formally adopt A -Company, First Battalion, 327th Infantry, First
Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, United States Army; and
WHEREAS, on August 19, 1968, the Town of Woodside for-
mally adopted D-Company of the same battalion, brigade and divi-
sion; and
WHEREAS, the citizens and residents of the City of San
Mateo and of the Town of Woodside, by reason of such formal adop-
tions, have been actively writing letters and sending food pack-
ages to members of their respective adopted companies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BURLINGAME that the City of San Mateo and the Town of
Woodside and their respective citizens and residents be commended
for their respective actions in adopting said companies and in
actively encouraging the members of this very famous division of
the United States Army and expresses its support of their activi-
ties and encourages the citizens and residents of the City of
Burlingame to encourage, support and assist in these activities by
all appropriate means.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that certified copies of this Resolu-
tion be forwarded by the City Clerk to the City Council of the
City of San Mateo and to the Town Council of the Town of Woodside.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of Burlin-
game, do hereby certify that the foregoing remlution was intro-
duced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 16th
day of September 1968, and adopted thereafter by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Crosby-Diederichsen-George-Johnson-
Martin.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
Absent Councilmen: None.
