HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 075-1969RESOLUTION NO.75-69 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CITY SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM - 1969-1970 Job. No. 68-12 WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation of bids for the installation and construction of approximately 7,200 square feet of sidewalk replacement, driveway and curb and gutter replacement at miscellaneous locations throughout the City; and WHEREAS, on October 2, 1969, all bids received were opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and WHEREAS, A.V.C. Concrete Inc., a corporation, submitted the lowest responsible bid for doing said work for the sum of $8,877.60. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the bid of A.V.C. Concrete, Inc., a corporation, for the sum of $8,877.60 be, and the same is hereby, accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond required to be furnished by the contractor. I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 6th day of October 1969 and adopted thereafter by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen: Amstrup-Crosby-George-Johnson-Martin. NOES: Councilmen: None. Absent Councilmen: None. City Clerk
