AWARDING CONTRACT
BURLINGAME AVENUE AREA PARKING DISTRICT
PROJECT 1969-1
OLD CITY HALL LOT
JOB NO. 70-9
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation
of bids for approximately 18,500 square feet of new parking lot
construction, 13,250 square feet of existing parking lot recon-
struction, and all appurtenant work; and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 1970, all bids received were
opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS, HAROLD R. JONES and ROBERT C. JONES, co-partners
doing business as O. C. JONES & SONS, submitted the lowest
responsible bid for doing said work for the sum of $43,330.85;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED
that the bid of HAROLD R. JONES and ROBERT C. JONES, co-partners
doing business as O. C. JONES & SONS, for the sum of $43,330.85
be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidders hereinabove referred to and the
City of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf
of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to
approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials
bond required to be furnished by the contractor.
I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
5th day of October, 1970, and adopted thereafter by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Amstrup-Crosby-Johnson-Mangini-Martin.
NOES: Councilmen None.
Absent Councilmen None.
