A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT - CONSTRUCTION
OF ADDITIONS TO THE BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY -
PRIMROSE ROAD AND BELLEVUE AVENUE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, California, that:
WHEREAS, said Council has authorized an invitation
of bids for the construction of additions to the Burlingame
Public Library situated at the southeasterly intersection of
Primrose Road and Bellevue Avenue, public streets in the City
of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California; and
WHEREAS, on September 16, 1970, all bids received
were opened before the City Clerk, and E. L. Norberg, A.I.A. the
architect employed by the City of Burlingame to prepare plans
and specifications for said construction; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible basic bid was that of
Morris Daley, Inc., a California corporation, in the sum of
$437,763.00; and
WHEREAS, alternate bids were also advertised for,
opened and examined;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows:
1. That the City Council hereby reject all of said
proposals or bids except that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby
awards the contract for doing said work of construction to the
lowest responsible bidder, to -wit: Morris Daley, Inc., a
California corporation, for the basic bid of $437,763.00.
2. That the City Manager of said City is hereby
authorized to make and enter into a written contract with said
successful bidder, and to receive and approve all bonds in
connection therewith, and the Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to attest his signature and to affix thereto the
corporate seal of said City.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
21st day of September 1970, and adopted thereafter by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Amstrup-Crosby-Johnson-Mangini-
Martin.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
Absent Councilmen: None.
