HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 087-1970RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 70 CHANGING NAME OF BAYSHORE BOULEVARD TO ROLLINS ROAD WHEREAS, on August 3, 1970, the City Council of the City of Burlingame set for public hearing on September 8, 1970, proposals for the renaming of Bayshore Boulevard to Tulare Boulevard; and WHEREAS, all property owners of record on the affected street have been notified by mail of said hearing; and WHEREAS, the matter has been considered previously by the Planning Commission at a public hearing held by that commission on July 27, 1970; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended that said street be named Tulare Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the Chief of the Fire Department and the United States Postmaster, each of the City of Burlingame, have been ad- vised of the recommendation of the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the public hearing was held at the time and place i noticed, and the recommendations of the Planning Commission, the Fire Chief and the United States Postmaster, have been received land considered, and all property owners and other interested 'persons who desired to be heard have been heard; and WHEREAS, the City Council is fully advised in the matter; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame,) I; (pursuant to the authority contained in 134091.1 of the Government ;(Code of the State of California, does hereby disapprove said proposals and does hereby order that the name of Bayshore Boulevard, a city street within the City of Burlingame, be, and the same is hereby changed to Rollins Road. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the operative date of the change of street names herein ordered be, and the same is hereby fixed at J4Nvary 19 %Z IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to the provisions of the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Clerk promptly forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo.
