COMMENDING JOT -IN E. KIEFER UPON THE OCCASION
OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE EMPLOY OF THE
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO
WHEREAS, John E. Kiefer, Supervisor, Election -
Registration Department, County of San Mateo, will retire
from County service on January 1, 1971; and
WHEREAS, his associates and friends acknowledge his
years of service performed in a dignified, faithful, impartial
and business -like manner; and
WHEREAS, in a further evaluation of his services, the
County of San Mateo Election -Registration Department, under
the supervision of Mr. Kiefer, received national recognition
through the media of television and newspaper for being the
first County within the State of California to have tallied
and to have announced the results of the votes cast at the
November 3 General Election;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Burlingame, does hereby extend appreciation, praise and
admiration to John E. Kiefer for tasks faithfully and
excellently done and its best wishes for good health, success
and prosperity for many years to come.
