HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 026-1967RESOLUTION NO. 26 -67 CHANGING NAME OF VALLEJO DRIVE TO FRONTERA WAY WHEREAS, on February 20, 1967, the Council of the City of Burlingame considered the request of the Clief of the Fire Department of said City to change the name of Vallejo Drive, a cit street, to Frontera Way, in order to avoid a confusion of street names; and WHEREAS, it appears that the common boundary line the Cities of Millbrae and of Burlingame extends along the center of said street; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Burlingame postponed action upon said request awaiting action of the Councl of the City of Millbrae upon a similar request made to it by the Chief of the Fire Department of the City of Millbrae; and WHEREAS, it appears that on April 4, 1967, the City Council of the City of Millbrae, by resolution, changed the name of so much of Vallejo Drive as lies within said City to Frontera Way. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame, pursuant to the authority contained in §34091.1 of the Government Code of the State of California, does hereby approve said request and does hereby order that the name of Vallejo Drive, acLty street within the City of Burlingame, be, and the same is hereby changed to Frontera way. . IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to the provisions of the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Clerk promptly forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, Mayor I. HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was -1- introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council 'held on the 17th day of April, 1967, and adopted thereafter by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen: Crosby-Diederichsen-George-Johnson- Martin.
