AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
Job No. 68-7
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the invitation
of bids for approximately 4,970 linear feet of water main construc-
tion and all appurtenant work; and
WHEREAS, on April 30, 1968, all bids received were
opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, FAIRLEY CONSTRUCTORS, a corporation, submitted
the lowest responsible bid for doing said work for the sum of
$72,627.90.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED that the bid of FAIRLEY CONSTRUCTORS, a corporation, for
the sum of $72,627.90 be, and the same is hereby, accepted,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City
of Burlingame for the performance of said work of construction and
that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on
behalf of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract.

Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
6th day of May 1968, andadopted thereafter by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Crosby-Diederichsen-George-Johnson-
Martin.
NOES: Councilmen: None
Absent Councilmen: None
